Great Smoky Mountains National Park is situated is Tennessee and North Carolina. The park covers 520,976 acres. The highest elevation in the park is 6,643 feet at the summit of Clingmans Dome, and the lowest elevation is 840 feet at the mouth of Abrams Creek.

Great Smoky Mountains National Park is the most visited national park in America. There is no entrance fee into the park. The park has many wonderful picnic areas, campgrounds, horsecamps, and hiking trails. In the Spring of 2007, the park once again opened its waters to brook trout fishing.
